Lifebuoy has recently re-branded itself as from Lifebuoy to Lifebuoy silver, incorporating the essence of active silver. Once again another highly functional ad, outlaying the value proposition and competitive edge clearly in the market leading to a strong position.

The recent ad of Lifebuoy starring Ayeza khan and Danish Taimoor is showing a complete family scenario. The ad starts with Danish taimoor and his kid jumping over a sweet and then Danish is asking the kid to wash hand first with “Lifebuoy”. Here at this point, the company successfully planted and recalled the value and importance of using Lifebuoy for the health of the family. Moving along, Ayeza appears and asks for a silver hand wash on which Danish asks the meaning which Ayeza explained through a doctor attire. Here Lifebuoy smartly used the customer psychology of adhering to the brand due to a strong recommendation from doctors.

In the ads, Lifebuoy clearly depicted its functionality by explaining the essence of active silver (developing associations) and then the incorporation of that silver into the soap, leading the customer to develop awareness about the new brand which is “Lifebuoy silver”, which is more powerful as it has been amended for better protection. The strategy of using Danish and Ayeza has also been very smart since the audience likes to see the couple which the company capitalised to keep the customer captivated with the ad till the end. All in all, the lifebuoy remain successful in showing its value proposition and brand value by developing a simple family scene in order to create an association, while also offer a strong position and reason to purchase new Lifebuoy, especially for the children.
